Does eliminating the cat not set off any sensor lights on your dash?

Did it come with a 5 spd or an automatic? Cant seem to find a Turbo Z out there with a manual transmission.

@salvadorguz the turbo acts like a muffler completely changing the sound of the exhaust, with the same exhaust you would be louder but somewhat raspy

@saved83 the cylinder head would explode at 700. not to mention your bottom end would take a crap. L serious engines are not marvels of engineering. all they did was take half of your standard datsun 4 cylinder, the same engine that came in everything from station wagons to pickup trucks, and weld it onto the front of another 4 cylinder.

i got a 1981 280zx and like the sound of your exhaust but my car is non turbo, cant i make that sound 2? i leve it!!!!

yea it will sound just like mine, just no turbo sound. and probably not as loud since you wont be running 3" piping. I wouldn't go any bigger than 2.5" piping on natural aspirated because you need the exhaust velocity to help move the exhaust gases
