@barneyfromkillarney nice rant there yourself barney, its pretty obvious he is referring to world wide conflict using were he comes from as a basis for the story and describing events that can be seen echoing throughout history right up the present day.
its also pretty obvious that the last thing he is doing is riling up hate for these people as the entire song is about tolerance and understanding and equality,
if all you can do is take art face value your not the target audience for it

catchy melody but ridiculous thick lyrics... like what's his point? it's like someone read a stupid biased history and vomited it up without any thought to how the lyrics go together. like... who should apologise for history?? what's he on about?? damn catholic church are responsible for more crimes than anybody.. and that's in living memory. leave the english and portuguese and belgians alone... like the bit about hate chewing you up and spitting you out.. damo is the only one dragging up hate
