@atsf3780 Track plan is included in Mark's article in Model Railroad Planning 2012, the layout planning annual from Model Railroader magazine. Congrats, Mark, on the great article about an amazing layout!

love the swing-gate and most of all the lift section!!

Like the swing gate amd the lift to get in and out of areas on the layout. If you have not done so, Post some videos on the lift and the swing gate.

what is the ammount of total track that you have on your layout? your modeling is amazing. I know some people in Portland oregon that are amazing with lighting and sound effects. where are you from?

Track plan pleeeeease!
Thank you for the kind compliments. I am in Vancouver Canada (other details on my Youtube Channel home page).
I am not sure the total track including sidings, spurs and staging but the mainline is about 7 scale miles long (210'), the branch is about 2 scale miles (60') and there are over 225 switches.

No. The metal piers extending into the lake for the jack ladder and sawmill building were standing up until 5-10 or so years ago, I believe, but then they came down to make room for housing. I think the mill was closed for business by the mid 70's.

Than you so much for the kind compliments...
I am very much a lone wolf on all aspects of the layout's design and construction. I certainly find the challenge of trying do it all myself motivating ...although hanging the 4'x10' sheets of gypsum board above the layout by myself kind of took this to the limit :) .
