Poor Alina, at the Royal Ballet there is a single large Etoile, her name is Marianela Nuñez.

@federicoxxl Poor Nuñez: she is still much larger than Cojocaru but has lost some weight in the past few years and looks better on stage (but not her very muscolar legs). Nuñez has a great technique but I don't like her musicality and her acting, especillay her face on stage (she is much better in person). She is a top dancer but I think she is not a top artist and I'm looking for artist only. You don't need to write against other dancers to support YOUR favorite.

@annamicro I agree with you, but I don't appreciate your critique of Nunez's physique. I'm not a bitter, overweight dancer, so please don't see it from that perspective, but while I believe that Alina is a PERFECT Aurora, and an absolute delight to watch, I think Nunez's technique is flawless and I find her interpretation of Odette/Odile both delightful and refreshing. I think we can agree they're both magnificent dancers with their own strengths without attacking one or the other?

@NienyalieAgain My comment was an answer to federicoxxl writing "there is a single LARGE Etoile, her name is M Nunez". I don't like attacks against dancers on my channel, but to not like Nunez physique and her acting is not an attack, it's the expession of an opinion. I've seen her Swan Lake live 4 times: her dancing is wonderful in some moments but I still find her acting, also in other roles, bad looking and artificial. To me she is is a great dancer but not an interesting nor "true" artist.

Do you know the full name of the DVD so I could find it on Amazon. I'm going to tell my boyfriend about it as an idea for a future gift. I would love to see this done live but the only ballets done near me (in Michigan) are the Nutcracker and Swan Lake. I'd see either of those, but this is my absolute favorite!
