The title of the song is called "Break the Sword of Justice" and it's one of the songs from the anime Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. It's mainly associated with Kurogane because it sounds very action-packed...like his personality which likes to fight.

It was a long and painful process to record this song because for some reason...I was determined to get every note perfect. If I hit a wrong note, I immediately rerecorded. I guess the determination from the song got to me haha. As a result, my pinky now hurts a lot from hitting the keys super hard and my fingers have practically memorized the entire song. EXCEPT for the interlude (1:02-1:19)...that took me ages to nail but I finally got it in the end =)

I haven't played a song using sheets in a really long time!!! I find that playing songs by ear is always very limited, even if it is adventurous sounding out the notes. So it was nice to have the notes laid out right in front of me for a change, although that also turned out to be a curse since it made me want to play it perfectly.

I hope you guys enjoy!!! I picked this song because I realized how much I miss TRC. I'm considering going back to read all the manga again if I have time haha.

And since I anticipate that some comment or another will be asking for the sheets...please just send me a private message with your email address, and I'll send the files to you (5 pages total). If you comment that you desperately want sheets in the comment section, I might feel generous and reply. But as a rule of thumb....ALWAYS READ THE DESCRIPTION!!! No matter how long it is xP

  • Wow, nice job! This is an uncommon example where better sound quality would help rather than hurt the recording :D
