I am not sure if I agree with the 'pushing against the wall' instruction. It certainly works that way, but it also makes the basic position a bit uncomfortable, because while you are not doing figures you are pushing for nothing. Plus: the tension you create is not necessary for basic figures like the right turn. I prefer having a relaxed basic position and then asking for tension as soon as I need it (e.g. through a gentle pushing movement in an open break). Great teaching though!

Good information especially about the wall that needs to be built. Most amateurs try and get crazy on the dance floor and wack other ppl in their way.
