  • Its not too loud and pretty fast but not very fast an its not always knocking it goes away at idle or if I gun it

  • @ltr450NoS I guess the best way to tell if it's an engine problem is to put it in neutral and push it forward at the speed you normally hear the knocking. If you hear it, look around and listen for where the sound could be coming from. If you hear nothing and the knocking only occurs when the engine is on and in gear then you might want to tear it down and take a look. You can find a service manual on the site I referred to before, and this question has been answered on the site as well.

  • You guys are funny I have had my 07 limited edition 700R Raptor up to 98 mph with some left and all I have is pipe and power commander but I don't have the balls or life insurance to go any faster and I'm 6'0 215 I would sh.. On your 450 @ the 1.1 mile mark you would be blown like this blunt of Pure Truth I'm on right now but good ass whipping though he need to sit on your lap and call you daddy lol!

  • @mrlodina What kind of speedo were you using?

  • Hey man me again lol my ltr, I think messed up there's a knocking noise coming from around the sprocket or engine area but it does not knock when idle or if I gun it it pulls hard and good its only when im going slow and way under gear and thoughts?

  • @ltr450NoS Is the knocking fast, loud, and continuous? By your description it's hard to tell whether the knocking is coming from the engine or a loose part. I know when I bent my rear brake rotor, the disc would catch the whole assembly, then lift it up and drop it making a knocking noise at low speeds. Also, ltr450hq[dot]com is a great place to diagnose problems. That's the first place I typically go. Good luck dude.

  • Suzuki is just the best.

  • Suzuki > Yamaha

    Honda > Suzuki

  • @mrlodina im havin a hard time believeing this...... LOL

  • Remember guys, we are still comparing a quad with almost twice the engine and the smaller LTR450 still wins. Should I even mention that the SUZUKI DIDN'T DROP A VALVE during this race or most likely any other. Can't say that for the Craptor. I am only speaking from experience since my 660 dropped a valve and trashed the engine and had to sell it for parts since resale is so low on the raptors.

  • @ltr450NoS sounds like ur having the third gear problem.

  • dont forget the ltr has smaller tires 19" and intake, exhaust while the raptor has 22" and only exhaust...which is dumb without a controller on there.... but yeah those 19" tires are way easier to turn then the 22" ones

  • whats does your ltr 450 top out at?

  • good ;D
