Bee Gees - Jumbo

1968

Lyrics:

Jumbo said to say goodnight, see you in the morning
Please don't lose your appetite, he knows who is yawning
Tomorrow you can climb a mountain
Sail a sailboat through a fountain
Jumbo said to say goodnight, he's a friend of yours

Play no games he'd say to me when the light is gone
He is right he'd say to me, we know who is wrong
So please don't make no hesitation
There will be no recreation
Jumbo said to say goodnight, he's a friend of yours

Listen, you can chew it if it's loud enough you hear it
'Cos it's narrow as a sparrow and it shoots a bow and arrow
Thro' a top that's made with powder with a gun it's even louder
And it's shattering to hear you mustn't listen with your ear
But it gets to you

Yes, yes, yes, it gets to you
Yes, yes, yes, you
Yes, yes, yes, you
Yes, yes, yes, you
Yes, yes, yes
Yes, yes, yes

  • @Bruce15485 .....I loved Vince's work with the Bee Gees. Nice bizarre guitar riff he does in "World" as well, and I like his work on "Idea".....

  • Gerade Jumbo.

  • Happy Birthday to Vince!

  • @Bruce15485 I agree completely re: Vince. You can friend him on Facebook, btw.

  • Still searching Song "vodka" from the early Bee Gee´s (1966 -1967?)

  • QUE LEGAL ESSA MUSICA, NUNCA TINA OUVIDO ANTES, VALEU

  • I've got a mint copy of this record on ATCO lable (USA) in my collection it's never bin out of the sleve not bad a 43 year new / old record

  • Great guitar work by Vince Melourney. Most probably one of my favourite Bee Gees tracks. The Bee Gees were never as good once Vince left. Check out clips of group "Fanny Adams" Vince was in his element playing harder rock solo's.

  • @NelsonsHat Sorry, it was another song...

  • @rotes1968 Its actaully called Indian Gin And Whiskey Dry from the album Idea.
