I must say one last thing. Lelouch´s love interests during Season 1 ( it wasn´t named R1, R2 stands for other thing....nor Round 2 or Rebellion 2 ) where Shirley and CC. LuluxShirley relationship reached a point of no return, a dead point in Turn 14. CCxLulu realtionship evolved till the end of S1.
KallenxLulu was a realtion that appeared only in R2. ShirleyxLulu was finally over in turn 13. KallenxLulu dead point was at turn 22 and their farewell kiss. CCxLL evolved till the end of R2....

About his feeling for Shirley.....well, I´m not sure about them. He truly cared for her ( tough as a special friend ). Shirley´s death secene doesn´t prove he loves her. I´ve rewatched it thousands of times and Anyone in his situation would cry. I mean, the impact of seeing her fataly wounded, the weight and the tragedy of her words, and the final words about loving him even in death ( "If i ever reincarnate, I´m sure i will fall in love with you" ).
