During the 2010 Corvette seminar at the National Corvette Museum's C5/C6 Bash, Corvette's Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter goes into more detail about the new Launch Control option that will be standard on all manual transmission Corvettes. The best news? Corvette's Launch Control System will not void your warranty.

  • @comlax22 American made. Rednecks are all about american made.

  • @Drumcomedy semi-badass car...it's no porsche or GTR or ferrari, etc. The demographic for Corvette has always been the older redneck guy. The people in this video help demonstrate this...

  • @comlax22 Bad ass car = large pockets.. Usually older people have stored money.. haha.

  • I love the z06 but why is the zr1 compared to the GTR? the zr1 has 640 hp.... the GTR has 530 hp... just saying. if you're talking about just the z06, the GTR beats it because of more hp, awd, etc.

  • @MarkyMarkEckstein I'm not the same katieejmom! I don't know a THING about corvettes....except that I'd love to own one :)

  • I'm 36, I can buy virtually any car I want, and I choose the Z06. Just ordered my 2nd Z06 Z07 w CFZ carbon fiber pkg. Also on my 4th Infiniti, so I am a fan of Nissan products as well. The GTR I feel is a great car, but overpriced. I am not bald, and I do not have gray hair, and I love Corvettes. Since I was a kid.

  • @katieejmom zr1....

  • @katieejmom yeah, and zr1 trumps the gtr

  • @steven4rmnewyork I think you guys don't understand that it is much more than $1,800 to be repaired. It is $1,800 in parts, which is expensive btw and more than double that in labor. Shops can rebuild it for that. Most transmissions brake soft parts and the kits are much cheaper than $800 for HD kits. $1,800 is alot for parts which mean some hard parts are getting replaced. I doubt you are taking that transmission out yourself so $1,800 is a freakin joke.

  • I wonder if GM looks at this video and notices all of the gray hair, bald heads, and OLD retired people in the audience. GM ain't hitting that 25-40 demographic....too bad such a badass car gets a (deserved) reputation for being an old-man's car.
