This is the Girls and I at the fossil park in Sylvania, Ohio. This park is maintained by the Olander Parks (http://www.olanderpark.com/pages/topsparks.htm). They truck in silica shale from the Hanson quarry and allow the public to sift through it and find their treasure. The finds here are from the middle devonian period (370-400 million years ago) when Northwest Ohio was a vast sea.
Haha wow I was there today... Actually recognize the lady that was sitting on the bucket... It's cool that they let you take that huge rock, you probably got 100's of fossils from there...
