The motor on this bike is awesome, it has crazy top end power yet still gets in done on the bottom end with plenty to spare. Obviously the suspension isn't optimal for offroad but I wanted to get the bike broken in before I made any changes to it at all. I did mess with the jetting though, but in this video it's a little lean off idle, a little A/S adjustment and she was good to go. Might experiment with some different needles in the future but for now it's acceptable.

  • hey man how do you like the bike? im thinking about getting one, hows the bottom end power, Do you think i should go 2012 since they went with linkage or is the pds alright?

  • @Lizzylump I love the bike. It's incredibly light and you can manhandle it. The bottom end is decent, you can somewhat lug up hills, I climb most stuff in 2nd gear to minimize wheelspin but usually have to downshift by the time I'm at the top. Technical singletrack is where this bike shines, actually technical anything. I've noticed I'm quite a bit faster than most of the guys in my class when it's rocky or tight, or both.

  • @Lizzylump The linkage has it's plusses and minuses, one plus is it works over a broader range of terrain than the PDS . A minus is that PDS is basically maintenance free. Another minus is catching rocks and ledges with the link. I haven't gotten to ride a 2012 yet but I hope to bum a ride from a buddy or ride the lineup at a Dealer Ride Day. See if you can swing a leg over both and then make your mind up. I've heard a lot of people can't tell the difference and others say it's amazing.

  • @YZtwostrokin ya ill be mostly on motocross tracks and i hear from some people that the pds sucks others say its nice

  • @Lizzylump Most of the people that say it sucked have never ridden with it, or rode it poorly set up. It takes different sag numbers than linkage and progressive springs help a lot. If you're riding MX I'd get a 2012 so you can set it and forget it instead of making adjustments at every track.

  • where is this at? this place your riding looks soooooooo sick.

  • @keoxcrimson Bulcher, TX. It's where they held the Last Man Standing race.
