This thought provoking film is ideal for stimulating discussion and debate about the way we rear animals for food in Britain today.
The 16-minute film is suitable for KS3 students and is ideal for covering aspects of the curriculum in English, citizenship, PSHE, RE and science.
The movie looks at: the origins of factory farming, selective breeding of farmed animals, animal welfare impacts of intensive farming and personal action and food choices.

@Dannyboy2004 , i dont know what the food market is like in Somalia, but a vegetarian diet is bound to be a lot cheaper and just as if not more nutritious.

@Dannyboy2004 But you have to keep in mind that most underdeveloped countries also don't have factory farms. The meat industry is completely different. Also (despite the ostracism this question has received), would we change our ways if people were the ones suffering, not animals? If we once lived in a way that didn't treat animals as commodities, why can't we do it today? Yes yes, I know, the money. It's not something that's going to happen overnight but it's something that needs to happen.

Go tell the somalians that are starving that they should raise animals in this way more expensive way.
This is only posible in developed countries where people don't starve to death and can afford to buy more expensive but "happy" animals.
