the U.S.S. Montana Class Battleships were planned and the hulls laid down but they were not completed. They were scraped. One of the hulls was used to repair the U.S.S. Wisconison beacuse the huls of the 2 classes of ships were so similar.

actually there is no vesel that bears the name USS Montana, there was one in WW1 but it was a convoy vessel and was eventually renamed Missoula

It's a joke but Google and Wikipedia disagree with you. It was an old battleship from the /40's. Although it is a joke it in my opinion exemplifies a consistent holier than thou attitude many posses.
