Hilarious of a numpty bampot like Alastair Darling Sweetie to be giving ANYONE a rollicking for their economic policies. Is the twit delusional or does he have his head in the sand or right up his own bahookie?
@mwhite148 What do you mean by separation? We won't actually be going anywhere. We will still be joined onto ENgland and still able to pop over to see the family and friends as we always have. The big difference will be that we will be managing our own finances rather than handing all our dosh to our neighbour and having them give us pocket money and telling us how to spend it. No illegal wars, no funds being misused for weapons or fancy projects that don't benefit us. No Bliar, no Cameron!
Portillo on Salmond...there's been nicer thoughts. I personally have a strong British and Scottish identity, so I'll be voting against any kind of separation. Also I saw a poll a few weeks ago that put support for independence at about 30%, so I won't be losing sleep over the issue.
The arguments for independence are in my view a lot stronger than those in favour of London rule. The battle is getting these arguments into people's hearts and above all minds- those people who are conditioned to fear the whole concept instinctively.
Salmond, who compares favourably to any leader in the world, is an ace in the independence pack but we need more to combat the obstacles. All the london owned press- and that's them all, for instance will be entirely hostile- especially the Sun.
