The Germans will never be a "world power" again (and the really don´t want to, since they have learned how the world reacted on such ambitions in the past). There´s others like China and India to come up with it next. And don´t forget about the Russians, who are always underestimated. But being the source of ideas and new technologies, Germany will lead the way.

i live in Germany and i´m always wondering that...60years ago German was destroyed by France, UK, US and from East the Russian in the 2nd World War BUT in this short time of period Germany is a powerful land with all economics stuff...Germans are an exampel for another countries..Thumbs up and Respect for Germans.!!!!

The German people are strong, intuitive and resilient. Obama and Congress have a lot to learn from how Germany is managing to stay ahead. The way East Germany has pulled itself from former Soviet rule is amazing and should be a model for cities in the US like Detroit, Cleveland and Buffalo that have taken a beating.

A German world power without a real war. Germany gets what it deserves. The freedom to say in the world, where to go. What would be so bad about that Germany has to say where to go. I mean, the U.S. was long enough a world power, and what came out of this: nothing more than terrorism and so called "preventive" wars in the world. I say give Germany deserves to be a world power!!

the german economy rules because they still respect and honor the craftsman, a plumber in america may make a good living but hes not respected as a man of the craft used to be, in germany a plumber is still a plumber but hes a big shot by comparison
