Yeah, sure buddy. WE are in Hell. I mean, forget that we're still a 1st world nation. Forget that, despite the current economic situation, the poor of our country would be viewed as kings in other countries. Forget the fact that, compared to some other parts of the globe, 10% unemployment is actually quite low.

If this party calls "reform" capitulating on every manner of real cost control and systemic change, then I've revoked my membership. I honestly don't know how the dem's can villainize republicans and the industry when their own bill hands the healthy and the youth to them in a tidy handbasket, ensuring another $50+ BILLION annually in new insurance co revenues. And why? Simply to reallocate the astronomical costs of a suicidally unhealthy country.

@jeffmonc Its such a great bill, that if all the people who dont like it, quit their job, the nation would come to a stand still. I'm 52 & am capable of retiring today. If his bill does what he says it will do, then I can retire now, live off my interest income with what I have in the bank, & the govt looses 90K a year in tax revenue. Then I get free health care that the tax payer will pick up. I knew I could learn something from a nigger

If this is such a great bill why do they have $700 fines and jail for people that don't opt in? If it was good for everyone they wouldn't need fines. This is another middle class covert tax. Any mandatory insurance is a tax.
