As the fight against drug abuse takes shape, people at the coast have something to smile about as they usher in the New Year. Perhaps in the hope that 2011 will see them kick their addictions, drug users there are trooping to the coast general hospital which now hosts a newly opened anti drug unit. In the government's latest onslaught against drug abuse, the provincial administration has teamed up with the ministry of health and NACADA to run the unit for the rehabilitation of drug users. Chris Wangombe brings us more on this unfolding story.

That is the right move, not jail. I hope that they also get proper counselling and advise on how to minimize the chances of future relapses. maybe forming a support group can help.
