MARIO KART LOW VR TRICKS PRT 1

The purpose of this LOW VR vid is to show that you can still have fun in your long tedious mission of obtaining 1 vr. But there are a few things to keep in mind when doing this.

1. ALWAYS, keep your eye on the guy in last. If he has stopped, turn around and see why, if he's going too slow do not pass him. If you are staying in the same race with the same people and the SAME guy is always in last place, it may be best to "drag". Dragging is what i call keeping up with the guy in last and constantly staying behind him to ensure he doesn't try to out lose you or DC.

2. Luigi Circuit is your friend! LC is my personally losing VR favourite. Because it has no pits for noobs to fall into, its short and you can always stop, as i do at the end of the race, turn around and pass the guy in last. Unless the guy in last was past by you, you never have to worry about over racing.

Now, you might say, why not choose SNESGV2 for the best losing VR course? Because there are holes in that course, and holes and pits are noob magnets. Plus, if you started owning noobs before slamming on your breaks at the end its hard to tell if you've lapped someone or not on this course. Plus its hard to keep up with the guy in last unless you drag. And if someone DC's you may not notice until its too late.

3. RAINBOW ROAD IS YOUR ENEMY! Why? Because it is the noob destroyer. I hardly ever seriously race when this course is picked but instead find myself dragging all the time because the guy in last is simply getting eaten up.... just falling off everywhere. This makes losing VR a nightmare because its no fun... its long... and it must be covered in butter because no one seems to be able to stay on it 4000VR and below. So dragging is the best answer to this course.

IN THIS VIDEO; we see that LC can be owned without fear of losing by gaining VR. Mario was my competition but he wasn't so far behind that i coudln't catch up after stopping on lap 3. Traps are another advantage of low vr games. You get lots of naners and FIBs but because you don't care about stopping a few seconds, you can lay traps more precise than if you were in a hurry to win. At the end of the 3rd lap mario had caught on to what i was doing and teased me with a false sense of loss by sitting there to see what i would do. So i turned around to guarentee that he did not try to follow me and out lose me. ALWAYS WATCH THE GUY IN LAST!!

NOTE: This is in response to a email i got asking what the whole point of this series is.

". Basically the whole point of this 9 part series is to show you ways to lose all your VR, down to 1 VR, and still have fun. Its a long and tedious road and most people become discouraged or bored with the whole "losing VR" idea. You COULD just sit at the starting line of EVERY single race for about 2500 races to lose all your VR, or you could simply turn your Wii off every time you start a race. These are ways you can lose VR without racing.... which isn't very fun. If you read the description to the vids it explains more in detail what is going on in each video. It also points out people who you will run into along the way that will try to slow you down or interfere with your low VR losing skills. And points out "tips and tricks" at handling these and other various situations you run into while losing VR =)"

I've been kind of down. Not having fun with MKW anymore and losing friends most likely off my stupidity.

lol first off you fail at respecting strangers. i sure hope you don't kiss your mother with that move. second off if you learned to read (god knows you can at least curse like an imbecile) then you'd understand that the whole point of losing is to obtain 1VR. Which is slightly more difficult than obtaining 9999VR which anyone can do with practice.

I'm on my way there too. Just broke 2500 :) I'm not having too much trouble pairing up though. One time on my quest I got paired up with somebody with over 9000 VR.
