  • @MrFrozenCanuck Cool!!

  • @gangesexcavating I just remembered that they had a fill in DJ because the regular Metal Head DJ Gary is away. I spoke with Gary the other day and he said you probably won't be hearing the heavy duty music he plays. Tune in next Saturday at 7pm when Gary is back and you'll hear me phone in with a request. I only request the heaviest of Metal and Gary plays it. By the way, I do love weather!!

  • @bj616 thats funny, Christine said thre months ago, you would make a great weatherman, lol too funny

Im listening to the rock show now at 8:53pm and I dont hear any metal, Im hearing bloody Coldplay, Collective Soul, Finger 11, etc. I asked for some Lamb of God -11th hour

  • @bj616 I saw him in Toronto the same year.

  • @gangesexcavating When I saw Bowie it was Aug. 1983 in the Pacific Colesium. It was one of three shows he was doing there. The one I was at was taped live for T.V. I still have the concert shirt hanging in my closet. I have so many concert shirts you wouldn't believe it. Which gives me an idea for my next video, lol

  • @gangesexcavating They do have quite a few hits. I bought my first Trooper album in 79/80 it was titled Flying Colours. I still have it along with approx. 700 other LP's. in my collection. If they ever come to SSI again I'll see them for sure.

  • @gangesexcavating I listen to Gary's show on Saturday night at 7pm because he plays hardcore metal. I phone in with a request every week and he plays it, no matter what. I do the weekly weather for CFSI every Monday at 4pm. I can't stand listening to Classical music, that stuff gives me a headache.

  • @bj616 BC/DC would be killer on SSI, would be awesome to sponsor "George Ehring's Hour of Classical Shit" on CFSI FM with BC/DC, lol

I actually put my name in for my own radio show on CFSI when it first came out, they called me back but I never followed through. Probably just as well, anyway.

  • @bj616 oh yeah I remember something about that. Trooper had the grand tour going then. They also did a gig at the Galaxy in Duncan. Now there is a rough joint. Still is today. Spent many a late eve at the Galaxy in my younger dumber years.

  • @gangesexcavating That would be a good show, but you are probably right never would it happen here. Just a little to hardcore for this mostly older and retired island population.
