No, GTX280 in SLI would outperform "single" GTX295, but by rather small margin (~5% - 10%)

you make me laugh.. for some reason i could stop laughing when i saw it. something about it just made me keep laughing. good job :)
-
ah, whatever, i am kind of not interested in gpus any more since i am already getting a new pc with a GPU i desired for a while now :)
-
the 295 is a cross between a 260 and 280 in one card n is 2 pcb's n 2 gpu processors. the 285 is the 280 but it has the 55nm gpu processor with higher clocks. i dotn feel like telling you all the details so just google it and read the previews on these new cards coming out in the next week or two.
-
wow... there already is GTX285 too? So i guess 295 is like 280x2 and 285 is 260x2?

Ya the 4870 1gig is nice and does great in CF. Its just the 512mb cant keep up as good as the 4870 1gigs, GTX260 55nm, gtx285, gtx295, or the 4870x2 in multiple gpu configurations. thats y i want to sell the 4870 512mb's and use the upgrade program.
-
well, u could sell 4870s for 200$ each, so u would have 400$ then... and 4870x2 costs i dont know, 490$? and i bet gtx295 will cost arround 600$ (i mean its a double GPU solution), but it is really up to you, im just getting 4870 1gb :)
-
If i get an 4870x2 Id have to sell 2 HD4870 that are 512ram and the GTX 260 or I can just sell the 2 ati cards and upgrade to the GTX 295 for like $250.
Nice upgrades. I'm so glad that the X58's support both ATI and Nvidia. Gonna upgrade my Rig June 2010 when prices are low =D
