In a recent study conducted by National Geographic, Interior Salish is a language family at the severe threat level for languages near extinction and one of the few hotspots of language endangerment across the world. The fact that Interior Salish spans several states and into international boarders with Canada makes language revitalization even more difficult.
"Revitalizing Endangered Languages" is a short film, directed by Jake LaMere, that reflects on the Interior Salish languages, culture, and stories through interviews with elders, teachers, and youth at the 2010 Celebrating Interior Salish Conference, in an effort to raise awareness of the importance to revitalize the Interior Salish language group.
This video is so encouraging for everyone who has similar dream about an endangered language! Please keep us informed. All good luck and energy!

My hands up to all of you for enabling others to keep your language alive. I am doing what I can to enable others to keep their language alive. I would like you to check out my effort with a youtube search on Counting_Beez. This was only possible because of good strong people who enabled me. OCM, Ha7thanimken
