I think I have the travis picking down, or I'm getting used to it anyways...but having trouble changing base notes with chord changes.. Matter of practice I guess

Each song took between 20 to 40 hours to learn and from there it's practice, practice, practice. I also have a software called Guitar-pro (you can buy on line) that helped me quite a bit. I only been practicing about 2 1/2 years now and I know I still have a long way to go (plenty to improve on)... Good luck.

I agree, I have a Baritone voice and I am singing the song about one and a quarter octave lower than the original and that does not help.
