I feel joy when I hear this music. It is obviously Arab influence and unlike music from south of here. The connection to one's ancestors and past, today and future is such a happy continuity.

I was raised in a suburb of Los Angeles between 1943-1964 and it was a miss mash of people all struggling to buy a house. No celebrtions no sense of history or connectedness with each other. We "faked" it! Television culture. Ptooeey!!!
