and they charged over half a million dollars to build that bride. something that a few 10 thousand dollars would of done.

This is very serious as we have large areas of the open ocean called gyres with
floating bits of platics that are getting into the food chain.

One would assume you could melt them down into raw components once again. They probably have different melting temperatures.

Once the plastics are bonded together, can they ever be separated? Would this mean that once the bridge has finished its life that it would have to be landfilled/incinerated? If so it isn't really zero waste is it?

There would be no "finished its life" we would use it forever. It could be destroyed by a car wreck maybe.
