This 'HTB' has been a status icon in the headphone community for some time now, as it was one of the first all in one portable DAC AMP solution on the market almost 7 years ago. Today, it still continues to compete with the best in this segment and should be considered as a viable DAC/AMP solution for those of you who are in the market for such an item.

  • How does this compare to Fiio E7

  • @MultiJohnnyBravo The E7 has a bit more warmth and coloration. This is my preference of listening to music, but the downfall is that you may lose a bit of detail and clarity.

  • Jheez, I can't seem to decide which amp to choose! This one seems prefect for me, allthough it might seem a bit light when it comes to the bass-amount/punchyness. I am a basshead, so to speak. Any advice? :)

  • @Anatomimesteren Definitely. Go for the Headstage Arrow...it's the best am I've auditioned that has meaty bass. :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • Sweet intro music dhd! Great review, very thorough.

  • @OwenKnowsTech As always, thanks for the comments. Glad you liked it! :)

  • digital to analog

  • I like bass a lot but the headstage arrow but it's out of my price range. I also have denon ah-d2000's, I was looking at the fiio e10's. what are your thoughts on the two and how do they compare?

  • You know any amps around the same price up to $300 that have crossfeed? I don't really NEED it, but it would be good if I were mixing some amateur recordings. I almost feel like skipping on the feature and doing an Objective2 or Maverick D1 but I'm not sure.

  • when plugged into the computer would it still need batteries to run? or does it get power off a computer?

  • Hd 598s are 50ohm headset and will give awesome performance with the tbh

  • I just ordered an h598 from sennheiser, i just want to know if this will be a good amp for it or would you recommend a different one?

  • I can't find the proper Headphones or the External Sound card. I thought the steelseries siberia v2 sound card was perfect as well as the headphones but after a little bit of more research it has changed. I'm all confused.. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D,:................ hahahahhahahhaha :D I'm thinking to much into it but at the same time do not want to waste the time and the money on something that wont provide my qualifications. Which is not that much :)

  • So what should I go for???? The Fiio E6, The Headroom Total Bithead, or the Headstage Arrow? I'm not a audiophile. But I do like bass but at the range to where its good but not throbbing and the highs and mids are balanced so that I can listen to music and enjoy but at the same time hear all that is around me in my video game? I'm a gamer and a music lover and I've been looking into headphones to use and amp so awhile now, and so far I'm leaning on the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 among a few others.
