People should stop whining. A bus is an utilitarian vehicle. It is meant to transport people with some comfort and performance. 50 years-old buses might be "funny to see" and have "character", but the function of a regular bus (or subway, or tram, or road) system is not to have "character", but to perform well.

Malta, tell arriva to get lost, what do they know of Malta? nothing! they just wanna milk you dry! kind regards Mr Abela

arriva really SUCKS !! Always late, no service and drivers very rude.
This service of shit forces me to buy a car. Arriva, is a BIG FAILURE.

And so the Maltese Solaris buses will be the first of this manufacturer in Arriva plc... I knew this would have happened. I hope, however, that they make use of the R&G displays fitted - it'd be a waste of equiptment to leave them behind training stickers.

-
it's a shame they a trading our classic busses for this cororate shit

@vivamalta127 Awful isn't it?

I agree with you, Surely there should be some routes which will run the really vintage buses because most tourists from UK,Germany etc come to Malta for that experience. I am looking forward to (hopefully) better service on the buses but can you honestly see a Bendybus going around tight corners????? CrASHHHH :/
what are they doing with the remaining newer present buses,are they scrapping them?

@alistair46977 The current low floor buses are going to be used for Arriva Malta but some have manual gearboxes will leave malta.

The biggest bombshell will be the tariffs!
How much will these be? The shuttle service from the Park and Ride which is presently free is the first to go!
This clip is just the Blue Pain relieve for when the tariffs are published...before the pain starts in the consumer's hip-pocket!

@Infekren There are few more bendy buses on it's way to Malta from Southampton Docks but the Malta's yellow buses might be painted to Arriva livery for training and few King Longs might be as well
