Yeah, I've never seen them play it live when they HAVEN'T said something about this guy, and how he hasn't sued them for covering it yet. They never make it seem like THEY wrote it.

I love this band! I'm listening to newer stuff though. And it's funny, I never knew they wrote this New England song originally. Big D And The Kids Table make it seem like THEY wrote it. They perform it at every show and it's a favorite.
But it's a GREAT song. :) (I'm from New England)

if you actually had the Big D Cd that the song is on (Gypsy Hill EP) It starts off with them saying "This is a song by Jonathan Richman" They don't make it seem like it's their song, most bands don't mention who they are covering when they sing it live..
