It was great growing up sitting in the right seat of one, I always admired my dad for building not only an airplane. but a Glasair. It was always a blast going to pancake fly-ins in a state or 2 away and it took literally no time to get there. What was more fun is taxiing with your canopy up and everyone is staring at you! the second you shut down you're bombarded with folks who are curious about the Glasair. Sorry, just reminiscing a little!

Cool thing about it, is 260kts isn't even the top speed for a good turbo Glasair III! I love these planes, they don't come much better than this, factory or kit. Sounds like a Merlin V12 going by, crazy!
