The Cape Town Book Fair (CTBF) is an annual event where publishers, distributors and authors share the magic of books. In an era where fewer and fewer people choose to read as a pass time, the Book Fair needed a way to entice public interest in the event. The agency was tasked with finding inexpensive yet impactful ways of putting the word out.

We positioned the Cape Town Book Fair as the place "Where the story begins.", creating intrigue as to the wide array of book genres (or stories) on offer and inspiring the public to explore the fascinating world of books.

We took our execution outdoors at Cape Town's Grand Parade, by sprinkling breadcrumbs to spell the phrase "Page 1". As soon as the pigeons began to feast, they began to take the shape of the breadcrumbs, spelling out the idea in 'pigeon'. This ambient execution was accompanied by prominent signage with the line, "From books on bird watching to books on fairytales.".
