Demi was sitting on Selena's bed as she checked her messages online. Demi had her book out, reading, until Selena pinched her shoulder and took her book from her.
"Hey!" Demi whined. "Give that back!"
"No, or else you'll start reading again," Selena answered.
"Well, I don't want to just sit here as you IM with Debby," Demi muttered.
"I have juicy gossip though..."
Demi's ears perked up as she took Selena's hand and pulled her down on the bed with her.
"SPILL!"
"Okay, so in sixth grade and the years before, when you hadn't moved here yet, there was these brothers. The Jonas brothers. One being in sixth grade with me, one in ninth, and one in twelfth. Now, one is turning 17 like you and me this year, one is turning 20, and the other turning 22.
"I had a huge crush on the now 17-year-old, Nick. Him and his hair, brown eyes..." Selena drifted up into space, so Demi had to poke her arm to get her to snap out of it.
"Wha - Oh, right. Well, yeah, it's rumored that they're moving back here. And I got over Nick. I'm all about David now..."

"This," Joe spread his arms wide open, "this is our house?"
It was huge. Glass, marble, and every expensive rock there is. Out back there was a beautiful pool, also a tiny gazebo in the back for their mother's tea parties and book clubs.
"I know, I can't believe it either," Nick said, breathless as he dropped one box after another on the ground.
"Dad, what happened to our tiny, New York apartment? Where did all this money come from? It's like taking money, and building a house with it," Kevin said to their father.
"I had some investments. You guys are budding superstars, no?"

She was crouched behind the couch, the only thing not packed up yet, as the big guy in the suit which she'd hired, was talking to her dad. Her dad had the same expression on her face, and no sign of caving. And plus, she knew he was going to watch Miley come out from behind the couch, to ground her into the house in which she would only be in in two days.
Miley sighed and came out, tapped the guy's shoulder, gave him the money and started up the steps.
"Miles, please stop for a second."
"What, Dad? If you want to ground me, then wait until California to do it, please."
"No, I don't want to do that. Just please move your now Western Coast butt over here!"
Miley turned, headed into the kitchen, and sat down. SHe talked it out easily with her father, and he explained the economy situation in Tennessee was just not correct for their family.
