In the summer of 1997 a large number of sound recordings made by the NOAA came in. The source of those sounds could not be traced to its origin. One of these sounds, the Bloop, was heard over 5000 km away. Scientists speculate that an animal caused the sounds, however, given the radius, it must be larger than the blue whale, the largest animal on Earth (for those of you who don't know).

Yet, these sounds are peculiar for the fact that one of them is positioned at 50°S 100°W, which surprisingly is near Lovecraft's mythological city of R'lyeh, where Cthulhu awaits.

And one other thing is the fact that both sounds on this video have been recorded at 15°S 115°W and 50°S 100°W respectively. If you look them up on maps, you'll notice that they're relatively close. Also, both the numbers are integers, could be coincidence or something else...

The first sound is called Slow Down and the second one Bloop. Here are the links:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slow_Down_%28unidentified_sound%29

NOTE: Since some people have been saying it makes recognizable sounds that are similar to those found in nature, I have to mention that the sounds are sped up 16 times in order to hear them normally. They sound totally different when slowed down.

Also, I have uploaded a new video of more mystery sounds so be sure to check that out for more unnerving cacophony.

    hypersonic plane or rocket

that sonic boomed during some testing or crashed maybe this NASA Russian test...

    High-Speed Research -- The Tu-144LL

    A Supersonic Flying Laboratory

    FS-1996-09-18-LaRC
