Late 60's to Mid 70's progressive hard rock band, I love those unique sounding late 60's, early 70's keyboards Sugarloaf and many other groups used at that time.

Same stereo gear used in digital transfer as shown in my channel background photo.

  • @Grendelmonster8u Loved it. Thanks for the recommendation. Didn't know it existed. I'm off to explore some other versions.

I think it is amazing how different groups can add their talents to a particular song, and it makes for a great choice variety from just one song title as is it is with this title...Friends, Lloyd.

  • @crashandbum I see how you'd say that b/c the drum roll in the middle is very similar except w/ AS Joey hits the drums hard at the end of the roll & guitar is a bit different. I have a folder in my Playlists exclusively for covers of this song & everyone does something slightly unique. W/ AS the vocals are different & it's heavier, w/ Yardbirds they use harmonica, Zeppelin is heavy on guitar, etc. And here is an instrumental w/ keyboards! I like seeing the evolution of this popular cover then.

  • Dude this song rocks! I love the keyboards!

  • @sha1om

That is interesting to note, and thank you for pointing it out!...friends, Lloyd.

  • I've often wondered if they recorded this as a vocal track, and the studio producer edited out all the vocals and just left the instrumental breaks! Listen for edits at 0:31, 0:48, 1:05, 1:33, 1:50... and the abrupt ending.
