Morten Gunnar Larsen is from Oslo, Norway and is a pianist extraordinaire as well as the leader and founder of the world famous Ophelia Orchestra.

The 1st tune is "Blind Boone's Southern Rag Medley #1 Strains From the Alleys."
The 2nd tune is "Blind Boone's Southern Rag Medley #2 Strains From Flat Branch."

The audience was elated with this performance at the Sunday afternoon concert that was exclusively Morten Gunnar Larsen at the piano.

This was one of the many concerts held in the beautifully restored and historic Missouri Theatre during the Annual Blind Boone Ragtime & Early Jazz Festival that began on June 1st, 2008 in Columbia, Missouri. It was great!

I hope you can attend this spectacular festival next year!

  • The first tune is "blind boone's southern rag medley #1 strains from the alleys" The second is "blind Boones southern rag medley #2 strains from flat branch". These are boones' arrangements of folk songs which I probably shouldn't name on this post. You can find these in ragtime rarities published by dover.

  • Thanks again very much!

Great info. I posted it in the title and writeup.

  • Dear Kay,

I try hard, but I'm afraid my mom was right. She always told me I'd never amount to much. Life has its pitfalls, but I keep on keepin on!

Hey, It was fun seeing you there! Don't forget about those "Polka Dot Undies!"

    Ta ta!
