Rock Band Expert Drums - Limelight - 5 Stars

This is a run of Limelight on expert drums. Like all Rush songs, the drums are very fun. From the very first note to the end, it's very creative and fun to play and listen to. (But I still say Carter Beauford is better than Neil Peart lol).

Sorry about the quality, but it will have to do.

There is a fundamental problem with making Rock Band like real drumming: drumming is, by nature, a very improvisational art form. No predefined chart of notes will ever compare to playing it yourself, and to a degree, creating the music as you go along.

I'm a drummer who is in his early 30's. I learned how to play real drums as well as this song. Does this Rock band thing play like real drums or is just the dumbing down of america?

It does help you to get better at the real thing in several ways ways, but of course it's not exactly like real drums.

But who cares? It's a video game. It isn't intended to replace the real thing, and it should be expected to. I don't expect first person shooter games to be anything at all like the real thing, but they're fun anyway.
