Petite Mamady plays for Grand Mamady on a day that students pay their respect to their teachers. You may remember petite Mamady from the movie "Djembefola". He was around 8 or 9 in the movie. He is 19 in this video. Petite Mamady is the second player in the clip.

Thank you so much, it's a beautiful clip !!

  • So you discovered my weakness with language. Guinea is a hard place to be for us anglophiles. Thanks for the tip! -rhythmtraders

  • crackin! thanks for the video, peace and drums!

  • No problem. Thanks for checking it out. We will add more in the future. Keep checking us out here and at the Rhythm Traders site!!!

  • The guy in the green shirt is their pimp or what? :-)

  • Since the drummers are playing, they can not collect the "dash" that Mamady has given them so he collects it and hangs onto it for them. He also keeps things running smoothly.

  • @buckethead17 yeah u got it !!! ahahahahaha... TP !!!!!

  • That's what I'm talkin about. Everyone should take turns soloing. Pass it around! A hot female drummer!

  • Third player is the master!!!!

  • When you eventually see through the veils to how things really are, you will keep saying again and again, this is certainly not like we thought it was." i thought just one more djembe clip but it was not first class clip thanks

  • Sounds real good!!

Good guidelines to learn, copy, expand.

  • Thanks it is great to see what Mamady is doing now. We have been drumming here in Downeast Maine since 1991, subsisting on the few workshops from Mamady and Famadou we had the opportunity to take!

I admired the last player most... he played the "motor" for all the others and when he finally took the opportunity to play at the end, it was beautiful, clean and melodic!

  • GO SPURS!!!!
