Morse's Oxford - 4. The Pubs (part 2)

In this video we take a look at the Trout Inn at Wolvercote which features in 'The Wolvercote Tongue' and the Victoria Arms in Old Marsten where Morse recites the lines from a famous AE Housman poem entitled 'How Clear How Lovely Bright', in the final Morse episode 'The Remorseful Day'.
Finally we take a look at The Eagle and Child where JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis used to meet up as part of a writers group called The Inklings.

Loved this video! We visited Oxford with English friends in 2003 during a tremendous heat wave in August of that year. Our first stop for lunch was the absolutely beautiful Trout Inn. I was delighted to see the Trout Inn in a Inspector Morse episode. We also had a pint at the White Horse pub in Oxford. So these videos bring back some great memories for me! Thanks for posting them!
