Wow, i didn't know there was a show based on Carmina Burana. The band sounded pretty good overall, at times the brass sounded really out of tune, and i didn't really hear much out of the woodwinds, i get that it's a football game but what separates a good band from a great band is that the great band sounds awesome no matter where they're playing. I didn't understand the drill at all, but you guys did a good job overall, just a few individual errors. And what happened to the bassline?
There's actually been lots of shows themed to Carmina Burana, especially in the 80s with the drum corps. I didn't know either until I did research to pitch the idea to my band director. I agree with you about the drill, our drill writer was a cut and paste sort of person (our shows since the 90s literally have all the same forms), but we have a new writer now. The bassline had...problems. One of them got mono...etc...they're drummers...whatcha expect? Thanks for the comment!
