  • another question dalingrin! would you expect the battery life to improve in subsequent releases? I know this might be difficult to answer so let me phrase it in another way. with respect to how CM9 sits now, will it become more efficient with each subsequent release?

  • @mikebob I doubt dalingrin reads this.

The battery life improvements are in the plans. The biggest problem with this right now is auio. As soon as idle collapse is enabled (the stuff that brings you to webOS level battery drainage), a lot of people start to have random reboots due t oQ6 watchdog triggers (that is also related to audio), though some otherrs don't have any problems with this. This area is currently poorly understood, though and we are not exactly sure why webOS is not affected

  • @greentheonly I managed to get it to work! seems that certain apps need to have data cleared in the settings menu. FYI I upgraded directly from CM7 alpha 3.5. all in all good work! stuck with you guys from the very start!

  • @mikebob Interesting. I did not clean /data and it still worked

  • I'm actually having trouble with the google books app. Each time I open it up, it gives me an error. Seeing as how it works in this video, did you do anything special to make it run?

  • @mikebob It just works for me, did not do anything special

  • @JustGoWithTheFllow -- did you download the gapps files?

  • @m4yh3m121 -- I had CM7 on mine but for some reason i couldn't get CM9 to work after installing it. So, i uninstalled CM7 and installed everything needed (novacom, moboot, clockwordmod, ACMEInstaller2, gapps for CM9 and the CM9 files) and CM9 works fine. So no you do not NEED CM7 but you do need to take the same steps as if installing CM7 for the 1st time since you never had it. check idiots guide to CM7 (just replace CM7 files in the vid with CM9 files and AcmeInstaller2).

  • Its a bit unusuable for now lol, I'll stick with CM7 so now.

  • hi guys, can anyone help me? do i need to install cm7 first then upgrade? or can i just install cm9?
