WARNING: This video contains strong language. What do you expect? I was falling from the sky at 120MPH for the first time

This video shows my very first tandem skydive which took place on February 9th, 2004 at Skydive Las Vegas in Boulder City, Nevada. We jumped at 15,000 feet. Both the Las Vegas strip and the Hoover Dam could easily be seen from that altitude. It was amazing!

To be honest, it wasn't nearly scary as I thought it would be but it was more thrilling than I originally had thought. Does that make sense? Go skydiving for yourself and hopefully you will have a better understanding of what I mean. Oh, and never jump on a chilly day when you already have a slight cold. It will make your cold worse. Who would have thought?

  • ive been at that golf course many times, and every hour or so you hear people screaming... its hilarious

  • Everytime I have been above the golf course I haven't seen anyone playing. I was wondering if it ever was open. I guess it is after reading your reply.

  • I am jumping with the same company when I am out there in Sept...any advice?

  • Just listen to the instructions and have fun! I am sure you will love it. The instructors at LVSD are great.

  • That video really takes me back when i did my jump there in 2007 :( I WANNA GO BACK!!! You will LOVE it mate! The thing that struck me the most (which you can't really tell from this video) is how quiet it is when the parachute opens. You can hear some whistling from the wind but other than that it is perfectly silent! Enjoy it, let us know on this comment page how you get on!

  • Perhaps Archie went back to Oregon?

  • This was about 6 years ago in Molalla, Oregon. He was a cool guy, pretty buffed too.

  • When did you jump?

When I jumped there last Feb., Archie no longer worked there. I don't know where he went.

  • That's the same instructor I had!

  • The freefall was amazing. I have plans to do it again in just a few weeks. Now that I know what to expect I think I will like it even more. On a side note, I have no idea why the video is smaller than the rest of the ones I have uploaded. It was captured like the rest and rendered the exact same way.
