  • yes Jeff Gordon did have great equipment and a strong team, but the car does not drive itself.

Jeff Gordon is the only driver to finish in the top 3 at every track he's competed on. He's won 4 consecutive Southern 500's and 9 total road course wins. Those stats alone prove Jeff Gordon's ability to drive a race car. Jeff is one of the most talented race car drivers we have ever seen and is one of the top 5 best of all time.

  • I'm not a Gordon fan, but Jeff should be a six-time champion, no thanks to the Chase which robbed him of two championships.

  • @autorack1 Who cares? Jeff didn't have to beat Sr in his prime either. And Sr. never had to beat Petty in his prime either. That argument is so invalid it's sad. JJ and Jeff, IMO, should be 1 & 2 respectively. Richard had at best 5 full time competitors, they ran 3-5 races per week, plus the backing of STP. No one else had $pon&or&hip like that. Sr..same story..to a degree. Sr. had more competition, but it is still nothing like it is today..financially and mechanicly.

  • Well I am a PROUD 24 fan and Jeff should be 3rd on this list, since that is where he is on the all time win list!! Go 24!! Haters just hate themselves. Grow up

  • Jeff Gordon definitely in the top 3 of the all time greatest. 4 Titles, 85 wins the most in modern era, 3 Daytona 500's, 4 Brickyards, he became the first and only to win 4 consecutive times in the Southern 500, most road courses, restrictor plates. The fastest to win 50 races and the youngest at age 28. Won 49 races from 94-99.

  • Number 5 Jeff honestly should be number 2 if not 1 >:(

  • im jeffs biggest fan

  • if jeff gordon had better equipment than dale sr.why cant dale jr.win a race?he's racing for hendrick motorsports.excuses,excuses,excuses.try to find a different one.when jeff started in nascar the cars and competition were very close unlike the petty days,do your homework jackass!you have not seen alot of jeffs driving at talledega or daytona if your your going to blame your favorite drivers failior on equipment.

  • Jeff is very talented race car driver. If he don't want to spin you out and he will bump you enough to make ur car move aside instead spinning you out. If he want spin you out. He will.

  • keep in mind that johnson has 5 titles but jeff won all 4 of his racing against Dale except 2001 RIP Dale... Jimmie didnt have to beat Gordan in his prime to win neither did he have to beat Dale.

  • @neyneyturkey no hes not.... gordon would have 6 if not for the chase... more wins top 5s and 10s... and once gordon entered the sport gordon took over

  • how in the hell could dale be better than jeff gordon ?jeff beat the pants off him when they raced each other
