Pantera - Behind the Music Part 2

Pantera was an American heavy metal band from Arlington, Texas, formed by the Abbott brothers, Vinnie Paul (drums) and Dimebag Darrell (guitar) in 1981. Bassist Rex Brown would join in late 1981 with vocalist Terry Glaze. In 1987 Phil Anselmo became the group's lead vocalist. In 2003, Pantera officially disbanded. Any hope of a reunion was lost in 2004, when Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed on-stage at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio on December 8 while performing with Damageplan.

Dime and Vin was it. yes... phil is awesome.. without him it wouldnt have been the stature of metal perfection that it was and always will be. BUT DIME AND VIN had the sound together that NO brothers could ever re-create. glam days, pantera,damage plan... its ALL dime and vin!

Phil blamed back pain for his temper? I can tell his a big assholes just from the way he talks and the way he acts. I like Pantera's music, but there's a reason the other guys didn't get along with Phil. He just comes off in a very abrasive manner and I'm just watching him on a video.

all this of a reunion is kinda pointless as vinnie hates phil and blames him for everything including dimes death, so they'll never play on the same stage again. wish it wasnt true but....

@warumbinichgeil Dime had many friends that would love to fill in for him and play in his honor. Zach,Kerry just to name a few. Of course the original band will never play again we know this.

@Brutalyeah uhm ok, but they shouldn't call themselves "Pantera". Dude, we all miss Dime and it was horrible what happened, but i think it's better when the band remains dead. it would be some kind of museum, but i propably would go there too if dates got released
