Strange to think that after building a lead like this, we needed some luck to win the game. CU came back, tied the game 30-30, and missed a FG at the end of regulation, after which NU went on to win in OT.

@jim3535 you have a poor memory. Dan used to truck people like Joel Mackovicka, Judd Davies and Steve Kriewald.

Alexander was big and strong, but completely North & South, no agility to the sidelines. Plus, I remember for as strong as he was anytime a defender would get a helmet on him he'd fall, rarely broke tackles which was strange for his size.
