Ice Boxes Series_Knife

Ice Boxes è una serie di installazione effimere realizzate con blocchi di ghiaccio all'interno dei quali sono collocati oggetti. La tipologia degli oggetti è scelta in base alla forte valenza simbolica degli oggetti stessi.
La sagoma dell'oggetto si scorge nel ghiaccio in cui è intrappolato. Lentamente il ghiaccio si scioglie.
La breve durata delle installazioni viene documentata da una serie di fotografie e da video.
Esiste un forte legame fra il video, che registra lo scorrere del tempo, e la stampa fotografica che congela un istante di quel tempo: entrambi bloccano l'attenzione su un oggetto carico di tensione e inquietudine.
L'opera vive attraverso la sua documentazione.

Ice Boxes is a series of ephemeral installation made of ice blocks whit inside objects. The objects are chosen for the strong symbolism of the objects.
The shape of the objects can be seen in the ice cube. Slowly the ice melts.
The short duration of the installation is documented by a series of photographs and video.
There is a strong link between the video, which records the passage of time, and the photo that freezes a moment of that time, both blocking the attention on an object loaded with tension and anxiety.
The work lives through its documentation.
