In China, there is a character for the word "crisis" which paradoxically means both danger and opportunity. Well, we here in the West have our own paradoxical character—his name is Stuart Davis. And both of him have something to say about the Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful of our current ecological plight....

  • You're brilliant Stu. Like another commenter wrote, this really deserves more views. Love your show and rewatch them every other year or so. I especially like Zen and the Zen of Zen. To other readers of these comments, be sure to check out Stuart's music, too. Amazing human being.

  • TOUR AGAIN!!! I need you.

  • I LOVE YOU STUART DAVIS lol you the man been watching and listening to you for years

  • Hi, i`m not an english speaker, but I really liked this video, I think it can help me with a big project in my university, buy i`d really like to get it with subtitles ¿does some body know where I can find it?

    Thanx :)

  • Albeit some exagerration and an obviously jocular presentation, the conversation in this video is a thousand times more intelligent than the typical debate on environmental/climate issues. I see a lot of wisdom here. Though I'm not convinced that tribal cultures had "the highest murder rates in human history." To my knowledge, murder and slavery soared only *after* the agricultural revolution and rise of cities. It would be great if the video cited its sources.

  • What a brilliant analysis. I only wish they hadn't picked a winner at the end.

  • ouch. hilarious!

  • @TheFourEagles that's the point. we have to get to know the crap in ourselves before we can flush it out in others. ;)

  • 'oxymorons should go extinct"

  • full of crap about indigenous tribes though
