@FatBlackFrancis ...totally agree RE Marcella. She was a session musician and singer, brought into the band, which, btw, consisted of other members besides Siobhan.
Snotty music critics always speak/write as if the split hurt Siobhan most, but that is a fallacy. Actually, it hurt Marcella, because she was always very aware that she was nothing more than a session musician and singer. In a Face interview in the early 90's she said something about longing to be respected by her peers.

@FatBlackFrancis it is always "is" with a band because the band name -- whether Ultravox or Duran Duran or The Backstreet Boys -- is in quotes. A band name is a concept, is one entity, a collective noun, and is treated as the singular. It is the same as with a company. It would be "IBM is announcing..." and "Starbucks is announcing...". Excuse the ranting of a grammar zealot. Anyhooo...

@cowboykenny21 You mean Shakespear's Sister IS performing. It's a solo project, Siobhan started out solo and after kicking out Marcella in 1993 after 4 years together she is again solo. Marcella only joined at the insistence of the record company (think Black Eyed Peas and Fergie) but Siobhan hated that her biggest hit (Stay) was the only song that Marcella sung lead on, so she kicked her out.
