If you're planning on living in a house for 20-40 years...I wouldn't recommend STAIRS. Hubby and I nixed that idea right away, although two-story is frequently touted as more cost efficient. We've seen too many people close off their top floor (wasting the space) because they couldn't climb the stairs anymore.

Great to find Susan's videos. I am from the UK too. Pulled out all the walls in my house except the bedrooms, now have to put it back. I think there are some who must have the the open spaces! I like the outside to flow into the inside, I love her entire philosophy absolutely enjoy every minute in this home. Now need someone to help me finish it!
