This song was not from The Supremes' Country Western & Pop Album but was instead from the Where Did Our Love Go album. This didn't chart very well but I hope that you enjoy and WATCH IT!!!

  • Diana was sexy and had all the personality. All of them were good, but Diana had "It" that's something different and special. I love Mary and Flo though.

  • Oh No! Not This Again!! LOL! ;p Mary and Flo were different from each other and vice versa. So...it's just an opinion to just choose which one was special because they all were different. What you are saying is that Mary and Flo were the same ol' and Diana was different. But in style, tradition, looks, skin colors, voice, personality, ambition, etc. they were all different! So...I don't agree with what you're saying 100%, but I understand where you're coming from!

  • There is no question that the Supremes sounded best when Flo's voice was prominent in the background. Diana was the star of the group and without her the Supremes would not have been the Supremes. But their music sounded best when Flo provided strong and audible background support to Diana's voice (see:"You keep me Hangin on")

  • What about Mary? She gave her all to each recording also and you could always hear her!! Her smoky and deep voice is something rare for a female singer these days! Mary could almost sing bass!! All three contributed to the group! :)

  • Love this and Whisper. I was in the a Navy computer school and I stacked a bunch of 45's and the 4 bunks all fell asleep with Supremes and others singing.

  • @faithful4 Diane Ross had "IT" alright; She had Berry Gordy, Jr. Nuff said!!!

  • LOVE THIS . . . Diana's vocal is SUPREME (sorry, I just had to).

  • Oh Kurt, Give it a Rest Already, You've found a new Boyfriend, No need to be Frustrated any longer, Use your energy in a Positive way, Start a Foundation for Forgotten Background Singers, or Start a Marlon & Tito Jackson Fan Club!, Afterall, where would Michael Jackson have gotten without them! And while your at it, Tell that Gladys Knight she has NO RIGHT to sing any song she recorded with The Pips FOOL!

  • @tinaine1 Thank you for your courtesy as well. I get frustrated with the younger "Ross as a solo act" fans who think they know everything, came of age when Diane was a solo act, and try to minimize both the legacy of the legendary trio and the contributions of Flo and Mary. I also become frustrated with Diane today who sings THEIR songs every night as a SUPREMES TRIBUTE ARTIST and tries to suggest that THE SUPREMES are part of HER legacy rather than that her solo career is a result of THEIRS.

  • @kurtsupreme It is a pleasure to exchange comments with you. We might not agree on everything but we treat each other with respect and we do not fabricate lies or try to put people down. In The Supremes, as in any other music group, fans have their own favorite members and that is normal. Nasty comments, foul language, name-calling, etc. is not normal and totally out of place in these blogs...

  • @tinaine1 I agree wholeheartedly.

  • @kurtsupreme I agree with you but the fact remains that Diana's sound made those hits in the 60s. Of course HDH found "that sound" when they recorded Diana in a lower key. When "Where Did Our Love Go" hit The Supremes became identified with that sound just like the Ronettes had Ronnie's sound and The Vandellas had Martha's. The difference with The Supremes is that the act became enormously popular and legendary when the public saw them on TV and stages. Diana, Mary & Flo together were magic!
