Okay i found this. Somebody wrote this in answer to someone, and it sure made my mind up. *OBVIOUS SPOILERS*

The Code is the power of immortality, which C.C. has. The 98th Emperor of Britannia, Charles, has the Code. He transferred the Code to Lelouch while strangling him in episode 21. Lelouch wanted this, and he deliberately told Suzaku to not interfere.
However, the Code does not activate unless receiver dies first. This is shown when the nun kills C.C. after transferring the Code to her. Charle's Code activated when he shot himself. Here is one of the big misconceptions that most people have: The transfer of the Code does not involve death of the transferrer. The nun was crazy and killed herself after she transferred her code. VV was injured from the battle and died. So basically, after episode 21, Lelouch had Charles' Code (inactivated) and C.C's contracted Geass.
When Lelouch got stabbed by Zero/Suzaku at the end, his Code was activated. What supports this is that Nunnally got Lelouch's memories when she touched him, just like Lelouch did when he touched C.C. back in Narita. The only way this could have happened is his Code activating. This pretty much confirms that he has the Code.
Unlike C.C., and Charles, who lost their Geasses because the people who contracted them died, Lelouch didn't obtain C.C.'s Code and thus kept his Geass, while having the Code (which he obtained from Charles at the same time). Lelouch therefore has achieved CODE GEASS.

  • @anamnunezanimefan Hmmmmm im not too sure, ill get back to you with that one in a week when i get on my own computer.

Cause i have the song on there. :)

  • @anamnunezanimefan

    The song is:

    Hitomi-continued story

    (me thinks)

  • The answer is correct. If you watch the right version, in the end when C.C. is talking to Lelouch, she is honestly talking to him, not to the air.

  • @kellabby Where is the 'right version' i wish to see it.

  • I think it is possible for Lelouch to still be alive, its possible that the writers probably intended this. However, there is another Code Geass story coming out where the setting will not be in our time but the past.

  • @mulciber19 There is???

    When?

  • @WolfytheWolf5667 its not special it was original but removed before dub because they wanted people to figer it out on there own

  • Your logic is almost perfect accept for two small details. First ur assuming he still had his geass at the end, we don't know that for a fact. Second, it's impossible for charles to give lelouch his code, you can only give your code to someone who obtained there geass through a contract with you. However there is another possibility, what if cc gave lelouch her code before the parade. That would also complete their contract since cc would now be a regular mortal and be able to die.

  • @AoDSAVAGEWOLF

    He is alive.

    Special japanese version.

eng dub cut the version where you see him go "Hmph." to C.C, and you see his totally-epic swaying hair beneath the hat.

    Like, all hail Lelouch?

  • @AoDSAVAGEWOLF Wow, I wrote that a long time ago so sorry for the late response! ^-^ Looking at my comment, I must've worded poorly. Well, the other version, is the Japanese version and it shows a longer ending. I can not recall where to find it, it's been too long but it's out there somewhere. If you're interested in finding it, I wish you luck. ^-^ Again, sorry for the late response. :)

  • @tommybui first of all there is no manga in the first place. This series is original made for anime, character designs is made by CLamp therefore Code Geass is owned by Sunrise thus the designs owned by CLAMP. The manga creator your talking about first asked permission from both companies, you can read his her remarks at the end of the manga.

  • @AoDSAVAGEWOLF yes pls tell me too .... i like to see it too .....

  • one thing i can tell you guys: the creator of the manga wants lelouch dead. but the one that made the anime , leaves hint that he is alive. :) and don t forget ;) officialy nunaly was declared dead ;) , and look O.o?
