Smetana FESTIVE SYMPHONY (1855) - 1st movement

Bedrich Smetana´s Festive Symphony (1855) was written for the wedding of Franz Joseph I. with Elisabeth. Smetana used the official antemn of the monarchy (theme of Haydn).

Such an outstanding piece...wondering where the rest of is...I looked for it, but if its' here, I couldn't find it. I thank you for posting what is certainly one of best symphonies ever written.

This is, without a doubt, one of the finest symphonies ever written, yet it's rarely played. Smetena, like most of the other great Czech composers are far too often overlooked when it comes to fine music. I thank you for posting this..the man was pure musical genius!.
